Its Dura-Pan nonstick coating will keep even thick, cheesy sauces such as Alfredo from adhering to the bottom and sides. It is created from forged aluminum with a stainless steel bottom and a reinforced rim.
Best of all, it has a vented, tempered-glass lid so that you do not have to have a separate pasta strainer—you can tip the pan and remove the water while keeping the pasta inside.
This dura pan can even be placed in the oven safely up to 400 degrees for the lid and 450 degrees for the pan. Its handle is stainless steel and double-riveted for security. With its compact size, nonstick coating, and affordable price, it will quickly become a favorite cookware item in your home.

Curtis Stone Dura-Pan (8 Piece Cookware Set)
This eight-piece red cookware set includes a 10-inch frying pan, a 12-inch frying pan with a domed lid, a 2-quart Windsor pan with a strainer lid, a 4.8-quart stockpot with a lid and an insertable steamer. The pans are all made of aluminum and stainless steel, which offers even heating across their surfaces, with tempered glass and stainless steel lids.
This set has a unique five-layer nonstick titanium coating to give each item four times the durability and strength of most normal nonstick cookware. The stainless steel handles have a Y shape that helps reduce heat absorption so that they stay cool on the stove. Each item is lightweight, and the steamer tray is perfect for vegetables and fits the 12-inch frying pan. This set works on every stovetop, which includes induction stoves.
They are safe for use in the oven up to 400 degrees, and they are technically dishwasher safe—although hand-washing is recommended to preserve the look of the exterior finish. The freckled interior color of each piece is aesthetically appealing, and it is safe for metal utensils, but nylon, wooden or silicone utensils are better for giving the items a longer life.
The built-in vents in the lids release excess steam and allow you to monitor your food as it cooks without letting heat escape. Better yet, the domed lid can transform the 12-inch frying pan into a small Dutch oven. Despite the wide variety this eight-piece set offers, it is firmly in the middle of the price range of the sets in this guide.

About the Curtis Stone Company
Curtis Stone started his career as a professional chef as a kitchen apprentice at the Savoy Hotel in Melbourne. He then journeyed to London to work for England’s most celebrated chef, Marco Pierre White, whose cookbook White Heat was the first Stone had ever read.
Curtis Stone offered to work for free just for the opportunity to learn. He started working at the Grill Room (Café Royal) the day he met White and managed to avoid being fired on his first day, like so many others had been before him. After 12 months, White opened a restaurant called Mirabelle, and Curtis Stone was made chef de partie for six months and then promoted to sous chef the year they won their first Michelin star. One year later, Curtis Stone was appointed head chef of another of White’s restaurants in London, Quo Vadis. The Michelin star system is very exclusive and there are very few Michelin chefs around the world.
The following year they were one of the only four Italian restaurants to receive three Rosette awards. Stone’s combined knowledge and experience from a life spent in domestic and professional kitchens led him to create a range of cookware designed specifically for home cooks.
As a chef, he had the luxury of working in professional kitchens where he had all the necessary supplies at his fingertips, but he also has worked in hundreds of domestic kitchens and knows the issues that home cooks face. His products create order in the kitchen to save customers time while looking beautiful.
