The best “Trespassers Will Be Eaten” sign depends on where you plan to display it: choose a metal plaque for a decorative wall or fence, a vinyl decal for a smooth surface, or a brass door plaque for a smaller entryway accent. The options below include different sizes, materials, and mounting styles. Compare the listed details to find a sign that fits your space and intended use.
| Product | Best For | Material or Format |
|---|---|---|
| AimQurt 8 x 12-Inch Sign | Compact general-purpose decor | Tin metal |
| AimQurt 12 x 16-Inch Sign | A larger wall display | Tin metal |
| Vision Signs 8-Inch Decal | Adhering to a suitable surface | Vinyl sticker |
| Artisan Owl Door Plaque | Entryway decor | Solid brass |
| FOSHIN 12 x 8-Inch Sign | Easy hanging indoors or outdoors | Aluminum |
AimQurt 8 x 12-Inch Tin Sign
This 8 x 12-inch tin sign is best for shoppers who want a mid-size decorative plaque for a home, gate, garden, office, or man cave. The listing describes it as a humorous vintage-style sign made from tin metal and intended for a range of indoor and outdoor spaces.
Choose this option if you want a general-purpose sign with a classic metal look and gift potential. The product description says it is designed to resist fading and rust in rain or sunlight. It also notes that a deliberately rusty-looking finish on retro signs is a design choice, not necessarily damage.
Limitation: The listed dimensions may be too small if you need a sign that stands out across a large yard or wall.
AimQurt 12 x 16-Inch Tin Sign
This larger AimQurt version is best for buyers who want more coverage on a wall than an 8 x 12-inch plaque provides. The listing describes tin metal construction and suggests uses in places such as a yard, garden, garage, bar, or man cave.
Choose this size if the sign will be a noticeable part of a larger display and you have room for its 12 x 16-inch format. The description also positions it as a humorous gift for occasions such as housewarmings and birthdays.
Limitation: Check the available mounting area before choosing the larger size; the listing does not specify included hanging hardware.
Vision Signs 8-Inch Vinyl Decal
This approximately 8-inch vinyl decal is best for someone who wants an adhesive-backed sign rather than a rigid plaque. Its commercial-grade vinyl backing is described as suitable for indoor or outdoor surfaces, and the listing says the inks and colors are intended to remain visible in varied lighting and weather conditions.
Choose this format if you have a suitable surface for an adhesive decal and prefer a low-profile display. It may suit a door, window, or other smooth surface, depending on the surface material and condition.
Limitation: Unlike a metal sign, a decal is not a freestanding or rigid plaque. The listing does not identify every surface it will adhere to, so check the surface before applying it.
Artisan Owl Solid Brass Door Plaque
This brass plaque is best for buyers seeking a compact entryway accent with a more traditional decorative finish. It measures approximately 3.75 x 5.25 inches and uses wording about solicitors and trespassers being killed and eaten. The solid brass construction has an antique finish, and four pre-drilled holes are listed for installation.
Choose this plaque if its specific wording and small format suit your doorway, office, or wall. Its pre-drilled holes offer a direct mounting option, and its brass material distinguishes it from printed tin and aluminum signs.
Limitation: This plaque is much smaller than the 8 x 12-inch choices, and its wording is not exactly the same as “Trespassers Will Be Eaten.”
FOSHIN 12 x 8-Inch Aluminum Sign
This 12 x 8-inch aluminum sign is best for buyers who want a rectangular metal sign with pre-drilled mounting holes. Its listed message combines “Beware of Dog” with “Trespassers Will Be Eaten.” The product description says the aluminum is intended to resist rust, wear, and deformation, and identifies it for indoor and outdoor use.
Choose this sign if the dog-warning wording fits your intended display and you want four corner holes for hanging. Rounded corners are another listed detail, while the retro print is presented as decorative wall art.
Limitation: The wording includes a dog warning, so it may not be the right choice if you want only the trespassers message.
Buying Guide: How to Choose a Trespassers Will Be Eaten Sign
Which material fits the display location?
Metal signs provide a rigid plaque format, while the Vision Signs option is an adhesive vinyl decal. Among the listed choices, AimQurt offers tin, FOSHIN offers aluminum, and Artisan Owl offers solid brass. Compare each product’s stated material and installation style with the surface and environment where you plan to display it.
What size should you choose?
Measure the intended space before selecting a sign. The AimQurt options are 8 x 12 and 12 x 16 inches, while the FOSHIN sign is 12 x 8 inches. The brass plaque is approximately 3.75 x 5.25 inches, and the vinyl decal is approximately 8 inches. A larger format may be easier to notice, but it needs more room.
How will the sign be installed?
FOSHIN and Artisan Owl list pre-drilled holes. Vision Signs uses adhesive backing. The provided AimQurt details do not specify included hardware, so confirm how you plan to mount that sign before buying. For outdoor placement, also consider whether the mounting surface and installation method are appropriate for the location.
Does the wording matter?
Yes. Some options use the exact “Trespassers Will Be Eaten” wording, while the brass plaque adds language about solicitors and being killed, and the FOSHIN sign adds “Beware of Dog.” Read the full product name and description to make sure the message matches your preference.
